Why was Kavitha suddenly made an MLC candidate? After months of staying behind the curtains, why was she brought to the fore again? Sources say that KCR has a deeper game plan and she has been brought to the fore for a reason.
Ever since the TRS was defeated in Nizamabad, the party is in disarray. Though it has several key leaders like Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Bajireddy Govardhan and KR Suresh Reddy, they are unable to revive the fortunes of the party. BJP MP Dharmapuri Aravind has proved himself to be a master strategist and a tactician par excellence. He has ensured that the TRS remains in the third position in the Municipal corporation elections in Nizamabad. Now, with the MIM and TRS coming together to grab power in Nizamabad, the BJP is claiming moral high ground. The TRS is finding the going tough in several other parts of the district. It now needs a rallying point in the district. Only Kavitha can play that role. So, KCR has decided to make her an MLC and even give her some important ministry, sources say.
Kavitha is likely to go ballistic on Dharmapuri Aravind in the coming days. So, an interesting battle of leadership would be on cards in Nizamabad district.
