Can Mudragada change the political scenario in AP?
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Jan 2022 9:16 AM GMTKapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham is always a sensation in politics. No one knows how he sees issues. His actions and words always get the headlines. The way he suddenly quit the Kapu movement is still surprising to many even for the members of the Kapu community.
Mudragada who is aimed at bringing a new force in Andhra Pradesh political scenario had made an appeal to the Dalits, Backward Classes, and Kapus to focus on coming to power. He said why only two castes Reddy and Kamma should rule the state despite having less population.
In his letter, Mudragada gave an indirect hint that he is gathering support from all the corners to take on the two big forces in the state. He asked why it is that these castes are serving the two castes(Reddy and Kamma).
Mudragada said that Kamma and Reddy castes have been ruling the state since the start and hence the Dalits, B.Cs, and Kapu communities should take a call that they will not beg for the power. We can drag the power if we come to a common opinion. We shall prove the point that we are not dependent on others, he said.
Drawing a comparison between the population of Reddy, Kamma, and other castes, Mudragada expressed his shock over the two dominant castes enjoying power even though their population is very less.
Mudragada also said that they have been serving the two dominant castes and this should be changed. We need to prove that we no longer serve the two castes, he said.
"The Dalits, B.Cs, and Kapus are literally still palanquin bearers for the two major communities. It is high time that we should not beg for power. It is possible to drag it with a united political movement", he said in his letter.
Mudragada had written the open letter after holding separate meetings with Kapu members and BC and SC leaders. Both the meetings were held at his residence.
All these developments hint that Mudragada Padmanabham has bigger plans in his mind and for this, he is making sure that he gets enough support from the other castes as well.
