Can New Slogan Help YCP Repeat 2019 Election Results?
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 April 2023 9:52 PM ISTYS Jagan Mohan Reddy is the heart and soul of the YSRCP. The strong Jagan wave helped the party in the 2019 general polls. Be it social media or the mainstream media, there was a Jagan wave and people also felt that Jagan would develop a state that was bifurcated without capital.
The YSRCP banked on the same for around four years. But things went upside down with the recent MLC polls. The TDP won three MLC polls and one MLC seat in the MLA quota. The opposition party also won MLC seats in Pulivendula.
On top of this, four MLAs turned rebels and the YSRCP leadership suspended them. The rebel leaders are dropping big bombs that there are 30 to 40 other rebel MLAs who are looking at other parties. One MLA went on to say that the YSRCP would be defeated by the people in the next polls.
All these factors started a debate that Andhra Pradesh might go for the early polls. Jagan's visits to the national capital Delhi regularly also added fuel to the opinion. But the YCP cleared all the doubts on this and said that there is no truth in this.
The YSRCP leadership is busy exploring all the possible ways to win the next elections and win all the 175 Assembly seats in the state. Like the 2019 polls, the YSRCP is also banking high on the campaign, and this time the party wants to go ahead with the 'Jagan Anne Mana Bhavishyattu'.
The leaders would meet the people in their regions and explain to them the welfare the government is doing. But we have to wait and see if the slogan would repeat the 2019 scenario.
