Honeypreet Insan has been absconding since Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted in rape case. Cops had booked sedition charges against her and she tops 43 most wanted list prepared by Haryana Police. Finally, Media was able to get in touch with her after 36 days in Delhi.
Speaking to media, Honeypreet claimed the court allowed her to be with Gurmeet on the day he was convicted in Panchkula. 'I am innocent. I have no role in the riots at all. Our Brain stopped functioning after the verdict. How can we plan a conspiracy in such a situation?,' she asks.
When quizzed about her equation with Gurmeet, Honeypreet asks how can anyone question the holy relationship between a father and daughter. 'Shouldn't a Father place his hands on his Daughter? Can't a Daughter love her Father? The major concern is how media projected Me. I am neither a villain nor traitor. I had just done what a daughter is meant to do for her father,' she added.
Asked about the allegations made by her Ex-Husband Vishwas Gupta, Honeypreet told her former hubby is nobody and she doesn't want to talk about him.
Honeypreet declares Gurmeet is innocent and he would be acquitted in the rape case soon. She wishes to approached High Court for relief from the sedition charges booked against her.
