Can the Congress fix on a candidate for Huzurabad?
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Sep 2021 2:16 PM GMTClearing the airs on the much-awaited by-elections in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency, the Election Commission of India had issued a notification for the by-polls and the election would be commenced on the 30yh of this month. The D-day for the by-polls kept on postponing due to the Covid impact.
While the delay in the by-poll gave the ruling party YRS to pick a suitable candidate, the same delay had pushed the Congress party into a state that the party was unable to field a candidate for the by-election.
The Telangana wing of BJP had announced Etela Rajender who called the by-election by resigning from his post as the party candidate. By using its resources and banking on the BC card, the BJP wants to win the election as per the predictions of the political experts.
Earlier, media reports claimed that to counter the BJP's tactics, Congress wanted to field Konda Surekha as the party candidate. However, there was no official announcement from the Congress party on the Congress candidature. The silence maintained by the Congress leaders is giving birth to a lot of speculations and doubts.
It is also said that the Telangana Congress wants to take no risk in the by-election for the reason that this is the first election Congress is facing after Rvanth Reddy took over the TPCC chief post. As losing the election might create a negative impact for the party, the Congress leaders are said to be involved in severe brainstorming to zero in on a suitable candidate.
The Congress supporters who are in full josh with Revanbth Reddy's new appointment were eagerly waiting to see Congress winning the by-elections. But the Congress making no statements on the candidates are making them furious reportedly.
It is said that leaders like Konda Surekha, Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, and Patti Krishnareddy are said to be the front runners for the Congress party. We have to wait and see can one of the three leaders can get the candidacy or another name will be projected by the party.
