Parakala Prabhakar, chief advisor of AP government, on Monday announced that CM Chandrababu will lay the foundation stone for Amaravathi, AP's new capital on June 6 at 8:49 am. Though the foundation stone would be laid in June, the works on the project are likely to commence after Dussehra. Govt reportedly fixed the Muhurtham after consulting with horoscope pundits.
Several bigwigs and seers are likely to attend the event. The event itself assumes importance in the backdrop of the State completing one full year in office under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Master plan for the new capital city, designed by Singapore, has been finalised.
