Former AP High Court judge and Rayalseema development forum president Lakshman Reddy raised objection on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu preferring Vijayawada as the location for capital.
Lakshman Reddy asserted capital in Vijayawada will be a disaster and advised Naidu to prefer a location in Rayalseem which has got vast barren land belonging to the government. He warned choosing capital between Vijayawada-Guntur only help the real estate boom in the region and agriculture will be badly affected as farmers prefer real estate to earn money. He also opined acquiring land for building International Airport and other establishments will be ought mission in congested areas like Vijayawada.
Mr. Reddy pointed out choosing a location in Rayalseema as capital willn't see price hike on par with Coastal Andhra. He mentioned this move will improve employment opportunities and help people come out of faction future.
