Car hits Old man, travels five km with body on roof!

In a freak mishap, a 65-year-old, who was hit by a speeding car died on the spot. The car that hit an elderly pedestrian in Hyd-Vijayawada continued to travel for nearly five kilometres with the body on its roof. He was carried away for a 5 km.
According to the police, 65-year-old Venkata Reddy lost his life on the Chautuppal- Narketpally road in Nalgonda district. Venkata Reddy, who was the farmer hit by a speeding car (AP 09 BY 2725), while trying to cross the road, fell on the same car after being hit.
The driver of the car, who tried to flee the scene after hitting the 65-year-old man, did not realise that the man had fallen on top of his car.
Some people, who noticed the body on the vehicle, forced it to stop near Aitipamula, about five kilometres from the accident site.Police arrested the driver and another person sitting in the car, which was on its way from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.
