Opposition Leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy wrote an open letter to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu regarding the plight of farmers & youth in the state.
Jagan said lacks of acres of crops got damaged due to the heavy rains in all the 13 districts of AP since the past three days. He claimed to be penning this Letter as State Government doesn't have the time for improving the pathetic situation.
Yuva Neta opined TDP cheated the people with the false promise of Farm Loan Waiver. 'Total loan amount is Rs 87,000 crore by the time TDP came to power in 2014. As the Govt didn't fulfill its promise, Interest of Rs 56,000 crore was added to the total outstanding in the past 4 years. You spoiled the farming sector and forced farmers to commit suicide. When it comes to MSP, TDP Government has set a record by not increasing the minimum standard price for three years. You don't bother even if farmers and opposition stage dharnas,' he alleges.
Jagan said Banks haven't been offering loans to the farmers at least as per targets and this situation resulted in no activity in 10 lakh acres.
