CDC predicts that Delta variant might become dominant in US

The United States has done exceptionally well in fighting the pandemic. Despite being the severely hit nation by Covid, America took the timely decisions to curb the infections.
However, experts are warning that the Delta variant of Covid, detected in India likely to get dominant in the country.The variant, which has the high transmission rate is ringing danger bells across the United Kingdom currently.
Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had also predicted the same and urged the Americans to get vaccinated to be safe from the virus.
In her recent interaction, Rochelle Walensky said, despite the virus having high transmission rate, the vaccines are working effectively. I would like to urge Americans take the vaccine doses in due time to be same, she said.
The Joe Biden administration has made history by clocking 300 million doses of vaccinations in 150 days after he made it to the United States President post.
So far, the US administration has marked six variants of Covid as variant of concern including the Delta variant, which was behind around 10 percent of Covid cases in the country.
As per the data shared by the famous Johns Hopkins University, the ongoing pandemic has left 33,519,262 people infected and claimed 601,281lives.
