Center Shocking Decision On Delimitation of Constituencies In AP&TS

Leaders of major political parties in both telugu states have been demanding for an increase in the number of seats in the legislative Assemblies of both the states as promised by the Centre in the AP Reorganisation Act. But here arrives the real shocker for them.
In a rude jolt to the leaders, the Centre has ruled out delimitation of Assembly constituencies till 2026. Centre today in Lok Sabha announced that the increase of the Assembly seats will not possible.They mentioned that According to Article 170, the delimitation can be done only in 2026 after the population census is done.
As per the AP Reorganisation Act-2014, the number of Assembly seats in Telangana State must be increased from 119 to 153 and in Andhra Pradesh from 175 to 225. Political parties in AP and Telangana have been looking forward to the delimitation of constituencies in the hope of accommodating more leaders as MLAs.With the decision politically unemployed leaders in both the Telugu States are in a big shock.
