Centre Advises States That Reported Delta Plus Variant Infections To Be Attentive!

In addition to the ongoing Covid second wave fear, the Delta plus variant, the mutated variant of the Delta variant is ring danger bells in India, as more than 40 infections related to the new variant was found in four states.
News Agency ANI reported that out of the over 40 infections of the Delta Plus variant, the major share of cases was reported from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
Following this, the Union Health Ministry is said to have urged the respective state governments to focus on taking the required measures so that the variant is not spread further. The measures include rapid testing and tracing the infections.
It is said that, the states that reported the infections of the new variant to be attentive and alert. A total of seven states have been advised by the Union Health Ministry to keep a close vigil on the required arrangements and facilities.
The new variant is prevalent in nine other countries besides India. A few experts have earlier said that the particular variant needs special care as it is believed to be escaping the antibodies.
