Centre Approves 185 km Ring Road Around Amaravathi

It's known that AP state government has prepared the ground for constructing a 185 km-long Outer Ring Road in the VGTM (Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri) area. Now it got formal approval from union minsitry. The Central Government has approved the laying of a 185 km long ring road around the proposed AP capital.
It has also announced that 800 km long state roads would be converted into national highways. Following pressure from the state government, the Union ministry has agreed to develop the Anantapur-Guntur and Kurnool-Guntur corridors into four-lane roads. As per reports an amount of Rs 1000 crore would be allocated for the works.
The Centre has also accorded permission to link NG 44 with NG 65 . It improves the connectivity to Amaravathi from Anantapur via Kurnool. In the same way Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur would be connected by linking NG 40 and NG 60. The four-lane roads would be soon upgraded to six or eight and the process would begin soon. TDP government has set its eyes on connecting the far-end regions with the capital city by widened roads.
