Centre Calls For A Nationwide Mock Drill Of Covid-19 Vaccine Drive

The motto of the drive is to test the facilities and the effectiveness of the preparations for the original vaccine rollout.
It has to be noted that, a few days back, a two-day mock drill for the vaccination drive was conducted in four states, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Gujarat. The outcome is said to be successful.
The mock drill will be conducted today, January 2, across the states and Union Territories to test various aspects connected with the vaccination process like preparations, facilities.
The officials involved in the mock drill will upload the data of the people who took the dummy vaccine in the Co-WIN application, planning vaccine sessions, and deploying the vaccination team based on the sessions.
Several states have picked the severely hit regions in the respective states to conduct the mock-drill to check how effectively, the facilities and preparedness work.
According to the information, the beneficiaries or the frontline workers who take the dummy vaccination will be identified by the special medical officer-in-charge.
All the States and Union Territories conducting the mock drill of the vaccination drive will submit a detailed report on what difficulties it faced in the drive and how the facilities helped in the drive.
The mock drill enables the States and Union Territories to check the facilities and the arrangements in the state. It also gives a chance to the states and Union Territories to rectify the detected problems in the vaccination process.
