Centre makes helmet mandatory for Kids while traveling on bikes!

The Union government is focusing on implementing strict traffic roads. Recently, the Central government had made it mandatory that besides those who ride the bikes, the pillion should also wear helmets. After the rules for pillion, the government had come up with new guidelines.
The Union Government had issued a new set of guidelines for the bike commuters which says that kids should also wear helmets while traveling on bikes. The government also said that the violators will be slapped with a fine of Rs 1,000 and the driver's license will be suspended for not less than three months.
As the new rule was announced, the companies that are into manufacturing helmets were urged by the Centre to manufacture helmets that get fixed to the kids. Besides the helmet, a harness should also be worn by the kids traveling on bikes.
The government announced the new rule by making a few amendments to the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. The new rule also prescribed a speed limit for the drivers when they were with the kids. They should not cross 40 speed while traveling with kids.
