Centre Releases NREGA Pending Fund To AP

Due to the friction with TDP, Centre halted the release of funds to the AP Government, be it for Polavaram Project or those related to NREGA, in the past one year. The relations between AP Government & Centre improved a lot after YSR Congress Party came to power.
Recently, Union Government sanctioned Rs 3,000 crore for Polavaram Project. And now, Rs 708 crore were released to AP under NREGA Scheme.
Actually, AP should be receiving anywhere around Rs 2,500 crore under NREGA Scheme. Majority of people are happy to know Centre released at least over 30 percent of it by now.
These developments offer a feeling that Central Government is responding positively to the needs of AP. Instead of going hard at the Centre, CM Jaganmohan Reddy has been trying to maintain a good rapport with Narendra Modi and that's a blessing in disguise for the Andhrites as the pending bills are getting cleared one after the other.
