Will Chittoor Ditch Chandrababu This Time?
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Oct 2018 7:38 AM GMTChittoor is Chandrababu Naidu's burrough. But, will it stand by him this time around? Will things go awry for Chandrababu in his home district?? If the current political flux is any indication, then all may not be hunky dory for the TDP Boss in his home district.
Take for instance Nagari constituency, where the YSRCP has firebrand Roja as its sitting MLA. Both the sons of TDP strongman Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu are working at cross purposes. Instead of staying united, they are trying to undercut one another. This is hitting the party prospects in the all-important constituency.
The condition is worse in Tirupati. TDP sitting MLA Sugunamma has gone to the extent of holding a press conference to call Chandrababu government the most corrupt. She even quoted Transparency International report to talk about her own party's corruption. So far, Chandrababu did not take any action against her.
In another development, former Tirupati MLA Chadalawada Krishna Murthy has joined the Jana Sena. He had won as a TDP MLA in 1999 and then became TTD chairman in 2015. Chadalawada is known as a strong leader with a powerful base in Tirupati and his leaving is a shock to the party.
Already the YSRCP is in a strong position in many constituencies. If the same trend continues, then the TDP is in trouble in Chandrababu's home turf.
