M Venkaiah Naidu used to be very active when it comes to AP affairs during his term as Union Minister. It's only because of him, AP CM, Ministers and Officials used to obtain the appointments of other Union Ministers quickly. He tried his best to do as much as possible for his home state while serving as the Urban Development Minister.
However, PM Narendra Modi decided to end Venkaiah-Babu dostana. This is why Venkaiah Naidu was made to quit active politics and be Vice President of India. Actually, Venkaiah never wanted to be in such a post and he actually had plans to retire in 2020.
Prathyeka Hodha Sadana Samithi chief Chalasani Srinivas compared the current position of Venkaiah Naidu with a bird in a golden cage. He accused Narendra Modi of putting Venkaiah in a helpless situation and making his shed tears.
After Venkaiah became Vice President, Centre has not only delayed release of funds but also withdrawn financial assistance offered through few schemes. Even the end of alliance between TDP-BJP complicated the situation.
