AP Youth protest at RK Beach for Status

State Government foiled the Peaceful Protest at Vizag's Rama Krishna Beach on January 26th, 2017. Still, AP Youth haven't given up the fight for Special Category Status. Youngsters assembled at RK Beach to stage a protest. On this occasion, They commented: 'Special Package is of no use and Special Status alone could bail out AP from crisis. State Government should keep the future of people in mind instead of politicizing the issue. Just alike Youth led the Jallikattu Movement, We will collectively fight to achieve Special Status'.
On behalf of 'Prathyeka Hodha Sadhana Samithi', AP Editors Association has organized a round table conference in Guntur on the topic 'Is Special Status a closed chapter?'. Eminent Personalities opined TDP-BJP Leaders who demanded Special Status at the time of bifurcation cheated the people by going back on the promise after coming to power. They opined that there is vast difference between Special Status and Special Package offered for AP.
Chalasani Srinivas advised TDP Government to respect the sentiment and mount pressure on the centre. 'Institutions set up in AP were part of AP Reorganisation Act 2014. How could BJP Leaders claim they were possible only because Special Package?,' he questioned. Whereas, TDP Leaders claimed Special Status wasn't accorded to AP due to technical issues.
