Chandra Babu announced Sankranthi Gift in Assembly

Sankranthi is one of the biggest festival celebrated in Telugu states and especially Andhra region.As the festival is arriving soon Andhra Pradesh government offered a special gift pack for the citizens.
Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu today announced presented Sankranthi gifts to the people of the stat which puts burden of 280 crores in state exchequer. Chandra Babu said that Governemtn will give 1/2 kg Toor Dal, 1/2 kg Jaggery, 1/2 kg palm oil, wheat flour 250 gms ghee etc. Total 1.20 crores white card holders will benefit from the scheme.
Chandrababu while announcing the decision said that governemtn offered the gifts to see happiness in the eyes on all poor and needy. This gift pack idea is like sweet news for the people of AP before their preparations for Sankranthi sweets actually begun. For common people, this would ensure that everyone celebrates the festival.
