Post-Mortem on the defeat of Congress Party in the 2018 Telangana Assembly Polls has been continuing. Speaking to media at the party office, Former Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said: 'I had opposed Mahakutami right from the beginning. KCR took into the people that how could parties which can't share seats properly rule the state. People believed his words and defeated Congress'.
Komatireddy opined Congress could have easily won 40-45 seats had if it contested alone. 'Alliance with TDP led to defeat of leaders like Me. Due to alliance between four parties, People were in a confusion over the MLA Candidate. Party Activists questioned what is the need for alliance in Nalgonda Urban Constituency. KCR campaigned in My Constituency twice. He promised to develop Nalgonda by adopting it. People trusted his words and that's how Congress faced defeat,' said the Senior Leader.
The 4-Time MLA recalled TRS campaigning that Chandrababu Naidu would operate using remote control from AP if Mahakutami wins. He predicted, '7-8 MP Seats for Congress in the Lok Sabha Polls if there is no alliance. I will contest as Nalgonda MP if High Command offers ticket'.
