Rift With BJP Yet CBN Assures Kapu Bill Passage!
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Feb 2018 8:53 AM GMTAll isn't well between alliance partners TDP-BJP since the presentation of Union Budget 2018 in Parliament. On Thursday, TDP Leaders had given enough indications about the possibility of ending tie-up. Whereas, CM Chandrababu Naidu says he would be making sure Centre clears the Kapu reservation bill.
TDP included Reservation for Kapu Community in the election manifesto. It was Mudragada Padmanabham who reminded AP Government about the poll promise with agitation in multiple stages. Finally, State Government included Kapus in BC-F Category and passed the bill in Assembly as well. The same bill has been forwarded to the Union Government for approval. Home Ministry sought feedback from various departments over the Bill. Unfortunately, Employees Department sent a note to Home Ministry saying AP Government failed to quote strong reasons for recommending reservations beyond 50 percent.
This development worried the Kapu Community to an extent that Mudragada Padmanabham began doubting the commitment of the TDP Government. Quickly, CM responded to assure he will take the responsibility to convince the centre. Why would BJP-led NDA Government approve the faulty Bill in the current situation? This is a Million Dollar Question!
