AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reached Delhi to discuss with Prime Minister, Finance Minister and other Union Ministers about the Special Category Status. Naidu tried to convince Finance Minister Arun Jaitley that denying Special Status to AP could cost both TDP & BJP heavily. He also assured rapid development in AP if Special Status was granted.
During his meeting with Arun Jaitley, Chandrababu Naidu told: 'In the case of Special Category Status, Co-operate with Me. Believe Me, I will show the country how wonders can be created with it. People have faith in Me..that's why they are patient so far. Further delay could cause irreparable damage'.
When Arun Jaitley said that Centre is keen to offer AP much more than Special Status, Chandrababu Naidu explained to him that people weren't in a mood to accept anything other than it.
