Fear of defeat appears to be stalking TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu. His words and actions show his confusion and cageyness. Lack of response from the crowds and the thin attendance at the meetings is making him jittery. This is making him more aggressive. He is criticizing Jagan more virulently because of this fear of losing.
Interestingly, on Thursday, Chandrababu made a departure from the convention by making his son address a press meet to brief about the Cabinet decisions. Usually, this is done by the I and PR minister. Though the I and PR minister was present, Lokesh briefed about the Cabinet decision.
He made Lokesh make the announcement about the pension for the unemployed. He is worried about th response that Jagan is getting. His political maturity too is worrying Chandrababu. More than this, he is worried that he is not getting any traction at the national level. Mamtha Banerjee, who is uniting all the Opposition parties, isnot even contacting him. She is meeting Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, but not Chandrababu Naidu. His neighbor KCR is able to meet prime Minister Narenda Modi and Governor ESL Narasimham, while he is unable to meet anyone. Naturally, Chandrababu is deeply worried.
