Video Footage of TDP MPs poking fun at the indefinite fast of their fellow Parliamentarian CM Ramesh for the sake of Kadapa Steel Plant during their Delhi tour on Thursday embarrassed CM Chandrababu Naidu & Ruling Party in AP. In the clip, Rajahmundry MP Murali Mohan was seen saying he is ready to sit on fast for a week to lose the target weight of 5 kgs. Rest of the MPs sitting around him were found laughing.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu breathed fire on Party MPs during the Tele Conference held Today. He questioned, 'What's the purpose of such silly discussions when their colleague has been fasting for a cause since 10 days? What message are you sending by making a mockery of the indefinite fast?'.
Murali Mohan tried to downplay the incident by saying the conversation was just meant for fun and it's not aimed at CM Ramesh's hunger strike. He complained the video footage was shot with malicious intent and only a portion of their conversation was leaked.
Still, Chandrababu Naidu wasn't convinced and felt MPs shouldn't have indulged in such comments while fighting on a serious issue. CM told action will be taken upon inquiry if proved the video clip was leaked deliberately.
