TDP+Congress=?, Chandrababu's Latest Calculation

Is Chandrababu completely shedding his anti-Congress image to win the 2019 elections? Informed sources in the TDP say that Chandrababu has already started discussing with several party leaders on the need to join hands with the Congress for 2019. He reportedly is telling the core leaders of the party that the Congress has considerably improved its position in the Andhra Pradesh and that there should be some sort of understanding with them to defeat a resurgent YSRCP and a belligerent BJP.
Sources also say that he is commissioning surveys to gauge the public mood on a possible TDP-Congress survey. He is trying to feel the pulse at the ground level. He feels the people have punished the Congress five years ago and that they might punish the BJP in the same way. But, Congress has significantly recovered some lost ground and alliance or an understanding with it would be accepted by the people, he has been trying to impress upon the party's important leaders..
Close TDP sources also reveal that a senior Congress leader from Telangana went and met Chandrababu Naidu recently and discussed some 'offers' from Rahul Gandhi. The Congress leader is said to have left his gunmen and the driver and drove all by himself to Vijayawada to meet Chandrababu Naidu. But, even before this meeting, Chandrababu has openly helped the Congress during Karnataka elections and had even met Rahul Gandhi during the swearing in ceremony of Karnataka CM HD Kumara Swamy.
Very recently, Rahul Gandhi to held a meeting with the Congress leaders from Andhra Pradesh and discussed politicial situation in the state with them and on strategies to win back people's support. The Congress was rejected lock stock and barrel by the people of the state in 2014 for dividing the state.
