Will High Court Come To AP By Rainy Season?

It has been nearly four years since state bifurcation took place. But still, many works which are supposed to be under process didn't even commence till now. Establishing the high court in AP is one of them. Telangana government is demanding their high court right from the day of bifurcation. But no steps were taken in that direction.

The latest information reveals that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu reportedly signed a crucial document related to high court division recently. The preparations are going on to establish a temporary high court in Amaravati before the rainy season. AP government is thinking that it has been too late in establishing the high court so they don't want to delay it further.

AP government said to have readied 2-3 buildings for the temporary high court and Chandrababu asked the common high court chief justice Ramesh Ranganath to choose the convenient building through a letter.

On the other hand, finalisation of designs for the permanent building for the high court in Amaravati is in final stages. The construction of permanent high court building will take anywhere around 16 months. So, AP government is planning to bring the high court to Amaravati. As the government moved to Amaravati two years ago, they don't want to delay the establishment of high court further.

As the common high court is in Hyderabad, they have to often visit Hyderabad on court cases and they have to spend money on transport etc. To overcome these things, AP government is planning to establish a temporary high court in AP immediately.. and they are planning to establish permanent high court by 2019.

Meanwhile, the Central government has divided the judges working in the common high court. They have allotted 17 judges to AP and 12 judges to Telangana among the existing 31 judges in the common high court. If the common high court chief justice responds positively to Chandrababu's letter, then the establishment of the temporary high court will speed up. AP government reacted on this issue after three years of bifurcation.. we have to wait and see how much time the chief justice will take to react to AP government's letter.
