AP CM Chandrababu Naidu met Rahul Gandhi on Thursday afternoon to discuss about the alliance between TDP and Congress for 2019 General Elections. Earlier Today, TDP Supremo had even held discussions with Sharad Pawar and Farooq Abdullah.
Speaking to media, Sharad Pawar told welcoming the opposition parties to join UPA is the agenda behind the meeting. He accused NDA Government of ruining the institutions including RBI, Enforcement Directorate and CBI.
In the recent past, Chandrababu Naidu has met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy, BSP chief Mayawati and DMK President MK Stalin to unite Opposition Parties against NDA.
Chandrababu Naidu had never contested any election without alliance. He had gone with BJP for 1999, 2004 and 2014 elections. Had been with TRS & Left Parties in 2009. And now, Ideology with which NTR floated TDP was ignored completely for tie-up with Congress. Rahul Gandhi have no other option but to attain the support of as many parties as possible to defeat BJP. This is why doors have been kept open for Chandrababu Naidu inspite of being aware of his track record.
