Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to the Parents of Acharya Nagarjuna University's B.Arch Student Rishiteswari who committed suicide in the campus following harassment from Seniors. He assured them that investigation has been speeden up and justice will be done.
The Subrahmanyam Committee appointed by State Government gave its verdict favouring Rishiteswari and recommended inclusion of ANU Principal Babu Rao's name as an accused in the suicide case. Parents of Rishiteswari welcomed the Panel's report and appealed the Government to eradicate ragging from all educational institutions.
