Things may soon get tough for Minister Bhuma Akhilapriya. The way Chandrababu is moving his pawns, it is increasingly becoming clear that the clout of Bhuma family would be completely decimated.
There is a buzz that Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, who won in the Nandyal bypoll, may not be renominated this time. Sources say that Reddy has already been informed about this. In addition, Chandrababu Naidu is planning to ask Akhilapriya to contest for the Nandyal MP seat. The Allagadda MLA seat, which she is currently representing, will be given to AV Subba Reddy. Reddy is a long time close associate of Bhuma Nagireddy, but has fallen out with Bhuma Akhilapriya. In fact, the supporters of both the leaders fought pitched battles in Nandyal and Allagadda. Chandrababu is indicating his support to AV Subba Reddy and is planning to ask Akhilapriya to contest for the MP seat. Nandyal MP seat is a tough constituency and winning there is an uphill task.
If she wins Nandyal LS, she will go to Lok Sabha and her hold on local politics will come down considerably. If she loses, it will be wilderness for the famed Bhuma family.
