Alliance With BJP Cost Us Dearly: Babu

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is trying to downplay the role played by BJP in helping it form the Government in 2014 Elections after the end of alliance. 'Not that we lacked confidence to win 2014 Polls without ties with BJP. We just formed the alliance for the development of the state. Had if we not allied with BJP, TDP would have won 15 more Assembly Seats. Despite making a sacrifice, BJP has cheated us completely,' he commented.
TDP Supremo expressed the view it was BJP which managed to win MP/MLA seats apart from getting hold of nominated posts using the alliance. He told TDP gained nothing in return but BJP obtained maximum benefit.
Comparing the vote share in Local Body polls and 2014 Elections, Chandrababu Naidu conveyed there is no difference in the voting percentage of TDP. This comment is meant to spread the word that BJP's role in TDP's victory is 'zero' percent.
Whereas, Undavalli Arun Kumar explained the actual truth in Chandrababu's claims by saying Local Bodies and Assembly/Lok Sabha Polls can't be compared. 'In Telangana Local Body Polls before 2014 Election, Congress and TDP won majority of the seats. Did any of those parties emerged victorious in 2014 Polls? But, Why did TDP manage to win in AP? It's because of BJP and Pawan Kalyan!,' he explained.
