YS Jaganmohan Reddy fixed deadline to submit resignations of his party MPs if Centre fails to accord Special Category Status and fulfill the promises of AP Reorganisation Act 2014. This gutsy move of YSR Congress Party is certainly making the TDP Leaders restless.
If YCP MPs submit resignations, There will be immense pressure on TDP Parliamentarians to resign. If they fail to do so, There is a possibility of people branding them as traitors.
To nullify the impact of YCP MPs resignations, TDP Leaders have been desperately trying to spread the message - 'Jagan Resignations Deadline - A Big Drama'. The other day, Ministers Somireddy and Atchannaidu convened a press meet to implement the orders of TDP Supremo. They were even speculating there is no possibility of by-elections if YCP MPs resign as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is keen for early polls.
Interestingly, TDP Leaders keep making tall claims such as 'We will show what we could if Centre continues to do injustice'. But, None of them are really willing to fix a deadline for Centre and at least demand Special Status. People could easily understand how big a drama this has been.
