Kapus don't need reservation in Politics: CBN

Kapu Reservation Demand and Protests of BC Community against it have become a big headache to the Ruling Party in Andhra Pradesh.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu told the ratio of each and every caste will be known soon. He opined that the statistics would put an end to blackmails of leaders who try to gain mileage using their caste.
Chandrababu: 'Survey on the existing castes is nearing completion. The claims of Caste-based Leaders on their share in the population are far away from reality. Some time, They quote a figure that's 5 times more than the actual facts. All the castes are one and the same for me. I will fulfill all the promises given during election campaign. I'm committed to the promise made to the Kapus and hence Justice Manjunatha Commission has been constituted. Poor in Kapu Community will be receiving reservation on par with Backward Castes. That doesn't mean injustice will be done to others. BCs are the backbone of TDP. Kapus doesn't need reservation in politics as the community is already playing active role. I am determined to uplift the poor in other Upper Castes as well'.
