We knew AP Chief Minister loves Flights and Airports like anything. These were the first things he would notice to whichever country he might visit.

Chandrababu Naidu is consciously working on increasing the air traffic in Andhra Pradesh ever since he took charge as CM for the 3rd term. He has now gone to the extent of funding the airlines running in losses to ensure they doesn't shut down.

AP Government has sanctioned Rs 4.90 crore to Turbo Mega Airways for which Ram Charan is one of the Board of Directors. Why did Naidu offer such a big amount to the 2-Year-Old Airlines? Just because, It is running flights in the routes Vijayawada-Kadapa-Tirupathi despite minimal occupancy. State Government compensated the loss incurred by the airline under the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) Scheme.

Earlier, Trujet bag the tender to operate flights from Vijayawada to Tirupathi and Kadapa. Irrespective of the occupancy, The airlines had to operate flights between these cities four times a week. In a span of one year, Trujet operated 672 services with the 72-seater flight. As per the deal, Government will have to pay half of the maintenance cost. Hence, A GO is being issued sanctioning Rs 4.90 crore.
