AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu termed the Nandyal by-poll result as a historic victory. He claimed to have anticipated the positive result much in advance. 'I am pretty confident about victory since the beginning. I have collected reports from various channels to estimate the mood of the voters. This isn't the my first election..I knew what to do and what not to! Newcomers have run here and there with half knowledge,' he told.
TDP Chief claimed people of AP preferred him as Chief Minister in 2014 due to the faith they have on him. He further added, 'Credibility can't be attained with opportunist politics. It could be earned through the way we lead our lives and serve the people. TDP hasn't fielded candidate in Allagadda by-poll when Shoba Nagireddy passed away'.
Chandrababu Naidu refused to comment on the neutral stand taken by Jana Sena Party regarding Nandyal by-poll. 'Jana Sena took a decision...I don't want to react on it!,' he said, apart from mentioning that he responding promptly when Pawan Kalyan brought Uddanam issue to his notice.
