Chandrababu Sure Early Polls Will Not Favour Him
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 Aug 2018 10:12 AM GMTEarly polls is the hottest topic of discussion these days. Several ruling parties at the state level want to go for snap polls and reap the advantages. But, there is one politician who has decided that there would be no early polls in his state. And that leader is none other than Chandrababu Naidu.
Chandrababu Naidu has a very bad experience with snap polls. He went for early polls thrice and lost everytime. He particularly remembers the 2004 polls. He had favourable intel reports which said that he would win if there were snap polls in the wake of Alipiri attack on him. So, he dissolved the assembly and went for the polls. The results were disastrous. His party was wiped out and had to remain out of power for 10 long years.
Even otherwise, Chandrababu knows that early polls have never favoured the party that called for them. He also remembers how he forced Vajpayee and Advani to go for snap polls with him and how the BJP and the TDP had lost the power. Vajpayee had in fact retired from active politics after 2004 miscalculation.
So, Chandrababu has clearly decided that he would not go for early polls. He wants to enjoy the CM post till the last day and complete the term. Then only there would be polls, he says.
