New DGP Appointment: CBN's daring step!

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu set the target of completing Polavaram Project by the end of 2018. It's for the sake of this mission, He didn't even hesitate to end the wait & see approach towards the implementation promises made by Centre. After Centre issued a letter stopping the works of copper dam, Chandrababu Naidu prepared a master plan to give an indication to people that he isn't responsible if Polavaram Project gets delayed. As a result, Union Government came forward to cooperate with State Government in completion of Polavaram.
Babu seems to be adopting the same aggressive approach in another matter as well. Usually, The guidelines of Centre has to be followed while appointing Chief Secretary and DGP. State Government will suggest three names and Centre will finalize one among them.
Whereas, TDP Government is ready to clash with Centre for the appointment of new DGP as Sambasiva Rao's tenure has come to an end. Instead of sending three names, State Government has given a list with six names. Then, Centre rejected it. AP Government sent the same list again saying it doesn't have better options. Centre postponed the DGP Panel Committee Meeting after this move. Annoyed with it, CM decided to appoint new DGP as per his wish by making amendments to Police Act-2014. The draft of Police Act 2017 was approved in Yesterday's cabinet meeting. With this ordinance, State Government will claim having full powers to appoint DGP. This is the first major step taken by Chandrababu Naidu to convey he willn't sing to the tunes of Centre.
