Chandrababu To Undercut KE Krishna Murthy

Is Chandrababu Naidu planning to politically finish off his deputy and Kurnool strongman KE Krishna Murthy? Indications are that Chandrababu is planning to kill two birds in one stroke. He has reportedly decided to offer Pattikonda seat, till now represented by deputy chief minister KE Krishna Murthy, to Kotla family as part of the possible alliance with the Congress Party. This way he can please the Kotla family and eliminate KE.
KE, one of the senior most TDP leaders, is not on best of terms with the chief minister. When the issue of TDP's alliance with the Congress came up, he had point blank said that the TDP was born out of anti-Congressism and that he would rather hang self than join hands with the Congress. This statement has annoyed Chandrababu Naidu, who is yearning for an alliance with the Congress to come back to power. He had admonished KE and this has only served to deepen the rift between them.
So, to undercut KE, Chandrababu is said to be mulling giving away Pattikonda to the Congress as part of the seat adjustment. Pattikonda was one constituency where Congress, though defeated, fared very well in the last election. So, by giving the seat to Kotla family, he hopes to get both the TDP and the Congress votes. Chandrababu has also decided not to give ticket to KE's son, who is facing allegations in Narayana Reddy's murder in the region.
So, Chandrababu would send KE to political retirement, remove his son from the contest. At the same time, he can win the confidence of Kotla. This is in fact, killing three birds in one stroke!!
