After Cash-for-Vote Case began irking him, Revanth Reddy ditched TDP and joined Congress. This seems to have happened with the guidance from Chandrababu Naidu after considering the caste equation. TDP Supremo tried to maintain good relations with BJP and Congress as long as he can.
As Modi Wave doesn't exist any more and anti-incumbency on BJP began growing, Chandrababu Naidu kept moving closer to Congress using Revanth Reddy like a pawn. He believes maintaining dealings with Congress will bail him out from Cash-for-Vote case and could even help put up a good fight in 2019 Polls with pre-poll alliance.
