It is known that Centre has promised to bear the complete cost of Polavaram Project. Few days after the announcement on Special Package, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu visited the Polavaram Project site to monitor its progress. He held an aerial survey of the mega irrigation project which is dubbed as the lifeline for Seemandhra Districts.
During the media interaction post inspection, Chandrababu Naidu told this is his 13th visit to Polavaram project. He also promised to dedicate every 3rd Monday of the month to the Project. Which means, The TDP Supremo would visited Polavaram Project at least once in a month. Most importantly, Regular updates will be sent to the Centre for speedy sanction of funds.
As per an estimate, Anywhere between Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 crore would be required for completion of Polavaram Project. So far, NDA Government has released Rs 800 crore. In that case, When would Polavaram project gets completed?
