Chandrababu's Theatrics Meant For pro-TDP Media
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 March 2020 4:54 AM GMTSeveral TDP leaders are aghast at the way Chandrababu Naidu tried to raise a ruckus over a small incident that occurred on Wednesday. He tried to claim that the Palnad attack was akin to a civil war and had addressed, not one but three press meets in just one hour. Despite requests from the officials, he refused to enter the DGP office and staged a dharna.
It was clear that Chandrababu's whole drama was meant for electronic media optics. All his actions like calling up top cops in full public view and his lecture on morals to additional DB Ravisankar were done with a clear view on the TV channel news coverage, admit some TDP leaders. Interestingly, neither Chandrababu Naidu nor pro-TDP media talked about the attacks on YSRCP MLAs Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, RK and Roja. Their vehicles were attacked and the window panes were smashed. Chandrababu conveniently skirted all these and focused only on what happened on Wednesday.
"Chandrababu knows that he cannot do well in the local body elections. Hence, he is trying to create alibis to explain the poor performance," said a senior TDP leader on condition of anonymity.
