It's true that every time a remake of a blockbuster flick turns dud, entire focus will be shifted to Ram Gopal Varma by drawing comparisons with his biggest flop 'Sholay Ki Aag' which is also a remake of landmark flick 'Sholay'. The failure of 'Zanjeer' has given one more chance for the critics to irk the controversial filmmaker
Responding on the latest buzz, RGV feels people don't ever learnt anything from the history and that's the reason they tend to make mistakes. "Every time a film doesn't work they dig my 'Aag' out of its grave. One lesson from 'Zanjeer' one can once again learn is that no one ever learns from HistoryÂ…History being Aag. Classics like Zanjeer and Sholay should be allowed to RIP. If you disturb they will come to haunt us and bite us in the neck like Dracula," says the director.
Generally, Commercial entertainers would have good openings than the romantic films. Where Shuddh Desi Romance which released on the same day performed much better than Zanjeer in the Hindi circuits despite having big names like Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Prakash Raj.
