Cheruku Srinivas Reddy Joins Congress Party Ahead Of By-election

With the sudden demise of Dubbaka constituency MLA Solipeta Ramalingareddy, his seat became vacant. So, the Election Commission has announced the by-election for this constituency.
Ahead of the election, the ruling TRS party faced an unexpected turn of events. Cheruku Srinivas Reddy, son of former minister Cheruku Muthyam Reddy, has now decided to join the Congress party. He will join hands in the presence of party elders.
According to reports, Reddy is likely to contest as the Congress candidate from Dubaka Assembly seat. An official statement from Congress is yet to be released.
Reddy was disappointed as he didn't get the ticket from TRS. The TRS party is inclined to give the ticket to the wife of the late MLA Solipeta Ramalingareddy.
It is learned through local leaders that, Srinivas Reddy was deeply hurt in this regard and expressed his willingness to join the party as per the Congress elders' ticket guarantee. Polling will be held on November 3. The results will be announced on November 10.
