Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, who has earned the name of specialist Test batsman has made a comeback into the Indian Premier League(IPL), after six long years.

The Three-time IPL winning team CSK bought Pujara in the IPL auction for a base price of Rs 50 lakh. This opened gates for him to the T20 tournament after 2014. Pujara has played 30 IPL matches for various teams so far.

Cheteshwar Pujara was one of the three players purchased by the whistle podu team in the auction. Moeen Ali (Rs 7 crore) and Krishnappa Gowtham (Rs 9.25 crore) are the two other players purchased by the team.

Pujara has played for three teams between 2008 to 2014. He represented Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings, formerly Kings XI Punjab.

Chennai Super Kings(CSK) has welcomed Cheteshwar Pujara to the team with a welcome post. The Twitter handle of CSK has termed Pujara as the legend and welcomed him with cute applause.

"We welcome the legend, Che #Bujji with a super cute applause from the auction hall! #WhistlePodu #SuperAuction," CSK's tweet reads.
