Chevireddy reconciled, but his supporters are unhappy

One of the biggest disappointments for many in the latest cabinet reshuffle in Andhra Pradesh is not making YS Jagan's diehard loyalist Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. Many expected this hard core YSRCP leader to become a minister. But, for the second time running, Jagan ignored him. Instead of Chevireddy, Nagari MLA RK Roja was made a minister from Chittoor.

Chevireddy never hankered for any post despite being quite close to YS Jagan. Though he did not want any post, his supporters expected him to be made a minister. They had put up posters in different parts of Chandragiri constituency. But, being a Reddy, he knew he would not be made a minister. So, he personally ensured that all the posters were removed.

But, when the names of the ministers were announced, there was disappointment writ large on the faces of his supporters. But, to compensate, YS Jagan made him the Tirupati Urban Development Authority's chairperson. Now he has been given another extension for two more years.

But, all these could not remove the disappointment from his followers and supporters. They are unhappy at Chevireddy being ignored. They argue that newcomers and those with no record of loyalty and hard work for the party were made ministers. While Chevireddy himself is reconciled, his supporters are deeply unhappy.
