Woman starved to death in Elevator

A Chinese Woman was found dead in an elevator of an apartment building in Xi'an city. It is believed that the 43-Year-Old was starved to death after being trapped in the elevator for one month.
Workers had cut off the power to the elevator on January 30th. When they returned on March 1st, All they could found was the corpse of the woman. One can notice the hands of the victim getting mangled and marks inside the elevator, which were a result of attempts made by the victim to escape from it.
As per media reports, The Workers shouted to see if there is anyone inside the elevator but none of the bothered to have a look at it. Authorities identified the victim only by her surname 'Wu'. The negligent maintenance crew have been taken into custody by the police.
In the recent past, A lot of elevator deaths have been reported in China. Fake Brands in the market and improper maintenance is said to be the reason behind the situation.
