The Congress Chintan Shivir in Telangana has sent clear signals that TPCC chief Revanth Reddy cannot have his way on every issue. The two-day Chintan Shivir has clearly indicated that the high command has not given complete control of the party to Revanth Reddy and that it is taking steps to ensure that there is a counter-weight to Revanth Reddy.

One key decision of the Chintan Shivir is to deny entry to those who had ditched the party in the past. All those who resigned from the Congress and joined either the TRS or the BJP, would not be allowed to come back into the party. This clear message is a signal to TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, who is trying to bring back people who had left the party in the past. Thus, the seniors have effectively checkmated Revanth Reddy's plans for 2023 elections.

However, the party is open to welcome those who belong to the other parties and want to join the Congress Party. But, those who left the Congress, would not be allowed in. This also checks several of Revanth Reddy's proposals. The party is taking steps to implement the decisions taken at the Udaipur Chintan Shivir.

The Congress has also decided to appoint one incharge for every 100 voters. These incharges would be the effective interface between the party and the voters. The party is also planning to organise a massive meeting of women on the lines of the Warangal meeting. The aim of the programme is to mobilise women to rally behind the Congress party.
