Prime accused in the sensational double murder Case Surrenders

Chandrasekhar Reddy alias Chintu ,The main accused of sensational murder case of Chittor Mayor and her husband was surrendered to police today. Immediately after the brutal murder, three of Chintu's followers who participated in the murder - Muruga, Manjunath and Venkatesh - were nabbed by the police and they admitted their crime and pointed to Chintu as their leader.
Chintu alias Chandrasekhar, who is the prime accused in the case, is evading arrest. A red corner notice has been issued against Chintu. Today Chintu was surrendered before the additional district court.
He was accompanied by his two other friends Parandham and Haridasu while surrendering. After the news spread that Chintu surrendered to the court, curfew like situation prevailed in the town. Other side a large number of followers of the slain Katari couple staged a dharna in front of the court demanding stern action against the accused.
The court remanded the accused to judicial custody for two weeks and the police filed a petition for his custody.Chintu is a marine engineering graduate and was the nephew of deceased Anuradha.As per police Chintu masterminded gunning down of mayor Anuradha and slaying of her husband Katari Mohan at their office on November 17.
