Mega Star, Lady Super Star Give Rahul Gandhi A Miss

He is a Mega Star and she a lady super star. Yes. We are talking about Chiranjeevi and Vijayasanthi. Both are Congress leaders and have been MPs. But, interestingly, both the star-cum-leaders, were conspicuous by their absence during Rahul gandhi's recent visit to Hyderabad. Both the stars gave his tour a miss.
Chiru has been a Rajya Sabha MP and has been quite an important figure in AP Congress. But, Chiru was not just away from Rahul's tour, but he did not find time even for an hour to meet Rahul who was in AP for 48 hours. But, he was busy with the shoot of Sye Raa and also with promoting films made by his relatives. Though APCC chief Raghuveera Reddy claims that Chiru is still with the Congress, the star is giving not even a minor indication of his political involvement.
As for Ramulamma aka Vijayasanthi, she went into hibernation after her defeat in 2014 elections. She had only recently surfaced carrying a bonum on her head. But, she too kept away from Rahul's tour. Sources say she is sulking at not being given national general secretary post of the party. The party high command was okay with just national secretary post. But, Vijayasanthi was very specific about 'General'. So she stayed away from the programmes.
Stars have star appeal. But, stars also have starry airs. Politicos need to put up with these things.
