Former Chairman of cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) Chirayu Amin is one among the 250 people arrested in Vadodara for on charges of consumption of alcohol.

Prohibition on Liquor is implemented in Gujarat. Neither sale of liquor nor its consumption is permitted in PM Narendra Modi's home state.

Vadodara SP Saurabh Tolambiya confirmed seizing 103 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and 113 bottles of Beer costing Rs 1,28,950 during the raid.

Chirayu Ami succeeded Lalit Modi as IPL Chairman. In the past, He served as Vice President of BCCI. He is currently the President of Baroda Cricket Association. Getting arrested for alcohol consumption in a state where prohibition is implemented is a disgrace to someone of his stature.
